Following guest spots on compilations by Classical Trax and BAS, Warsaw-based Ku Ku delivers his most ambitious work to date.

Starting its life as a full-length album the "ESC" EP features 4 tracks and 3 remixes assembled from hours of material reshaped and condensed into a cohesive whole.

The opening track, Flashbang, fuses video game samples and fashion house tropes with a wall of sound shoegaze production approach. Tail Time adds techno drum programming and euphoric melodies to the fray. Pathotronic slows down the tempo with its FSOL inspired big beat throwback. Spacious atmospheres and guitar flourishes of Beck Back Beck work as a calming closure to this intense material.

To top it all off, we are also providing you with remixes from the minds behind glamour.label: Natalie Schchepanskye Erotic Pleasure and julek ploski. Representing BAS is Michał Dębski featuring Michał Olczak on saxophone.

"Esc is the key I use when trying to "get out" and that is what I tried to do here. I made this EP during a time in my life when I was in a boring job feeling nothing interesting is happening. I wanted to create the most happy sounding japanese techno influenced music I could - to create an escape for myself. It's fake and kitschy in that way but at the same time honest because that escape was a genuine need of mine."

Ku Ku is Adam Skrzypkowski - music producer, DJ and sound designer from Warsaw, Poland. He studied cinematic sound design, wrote extensively about music for Lineout and Glissando magazines and is currently hosting a radio show at Radio Kapital.
